- Important! An IT infrastructure assessment and aligning it with VMware's recommendations is a task that companies typically find extremely challenging to carry out on their own. This requires access to the vendor's specific tools and practical experience, which the Netwave engineering team possesses.
vSphere: Data is collected from a specific VMware vCenter Server and other systems within the vSphere infrastructure (such as vSAN, for example). The following versions are supported: vCenter 6.x and vCenter 7.0.
Horizon: Data for the analysis of virtual desktops can be collected from View Connection Server, App Volumes Manager, and all systems with related data within the vSphere infrastructure. Version Horizon 7.x is supported.
NSX for vSphere: Data can be collected from VMware NSX Manager (standalone or Cross-vCenter Server setup), VMware NSX Controller, and NSX components deployed on ESXi. Version NSX 6.x is supported.
A small amount of resources is needed to install data collection tools, as well as extended or full rights to connect to the infrastructure. User accounts and passwords are not shared with Netwave experts; instead, they are entered by the client's own specialists.
No. The tools only collect information about the configuration of virtual infrastructure components and infrastructure performance metrics (resource utilization, speed, performance, etc.). The collected information can be reviewed by your information security team before being shared with Netwave specialists.
